Beth Foley works | bio

It is clear Beth Foley studies Art History for inspiration. A combination of Northern Renaissance painters, Weimer artists and a dose of her personalized version of reality marry to create intimately scaled works of fantastical elements, parlayed with a tinge of familiarity.

Foley’s realistically painted works have a flat application of brilliant color on panel. The composition is deliberate and the figures highly stylized and manipulated to describe a compelling scene that is either on the brink of unfolding or has just concluded.
